This hand drawn and inked artwork by Frank McLaughlin of the ‘X-Men #59′ Cover is a Re-creation of the original cover Art (Marvel, Undated). Cyclops is “The Last X-Man” standing against the approaching Sentinels on this uncanny re-creation of the 1969 cover, initially created by Neal Adams. Reproduced here by Frank McLaughlin. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12″ x 18″.

Frank McLaughlin (March 18, 1935 – March 4, 2020) was an American comics artist who co-created the comic book character Judomaster, drew the comic strip Gil Thorp, and assisted on such strips as Brenda Starr, Reporter and The Heart of Juliet Jones. He also wrote and illustrated books about cartooning and comic art. He also worked on titles such as Flash, Batman, Justice League of America, Action Comics & Superman.
